A 43-YEAR-OLD German decided to settle his imminent divorce by chainsawing a family home in two and making off with his half in a forklift truck. Police in the eastern town of Sonneberg said the trained mason measured the single-storey summer house - which was some eight metres long and six metres wide - before chainsawing through the wooden roof and walls. The man said he was just taking his due, a police spokesman said. But I don't think his wife was too pleased. After finishing the job, the man picked up his half with the forklift truck and drove to his brother's house where he has since been staying.

Now, what do with the dog...
That's pretty good.
I'm thinking this is a guy who cannot, and should not, be argued with.
At least he got half.
I hope they had more than one doggie or kitty
Can't make this stuff up.
lol
Ummm Chainsaw.......cutting in half.........
I hope he and his brother don't argue!
And some how I had the idea the spirit of the Hun warrior was dead!!
I know of a man who didn't want to sell the highway department a narrow strip of land needed for a highway widening. Instead he sold them just the barest amount that would allow the project. He then cut off about five feet from the end of a small barn that stood on the ground he sold. The open end was closed up and he poured a new footing and laid up a new foundation under the new end.
He would have been far ahead to have sold the little barn but stubborn runs real deep where I live. So does the Second Amendment.
Of course, since each is actually entitled to half the value, and he destroyed ALL the value of the structure, he still owes her for half its value. No different than if he insisted on keeping it intact all to himself.
Moron.
Ah, but the divorce isn't final yet.
As many men have found out when they're being divorced by their wives, there's nothing you can do when one party destroys communal property.
It gets more interesting. If by his actions it can be considered he basically said "I got mine, you keep the rest," then she still owns the land, and he has basically nothing.
Was it where wifey adulterized the relationship, or did he?
There is often a far more interesting story behind these kinds of actions in a divorce case.
Nice to see that you also get normal news out of Germany here :)
Hmmm, you may be right. There have been plenty of weird things happen over there, or maybe the MSM has a secret love affair with printing about them.
