And make sure you drive your AMC Gremlin to the rink...
I'm thinking of a van conversion! LOL!
"And make sure you drive your AMC Gremlin to the rink..."
My AMC Gremlin (actually the fatter one, the "Hornet") was always broken.
Boy, American cars were hunks of junk back then. The last American car my Mom ever owned was a brand new Pontiac in the early Seventies. She bought the car because she made this speech to the family that we had to be partriotic and support the American car companies from the evil Japanese car makers.
The car broke down the first time she bought it, between the new car lot and our house. The car repeated that conduct several times. Pontiac refused to fix it, claining they had no responsibility once we drove it off the lot. We sued. The car dealer admitted in deposition that when they first looked at the car after it broke down, they saw the transmission had been put in backwards.
No one in my family has bought an American car since that day. I drive a Honda, my Mom drives a Honda, my sister drives a Honda SUV, my wife drives a Toyota.
There's a lesson there somewhere.
The Rink? Bergenfield, NJ? Then again maybe they were all called 'The Rink'.
