Kim Basinger has been arraigned in criminal court on contempt charges. Former Hubby Alec Baldwin triggered the criminal case by alleging that Kim is guilty of a laundry list of violations in their ongoing custody dispute. Among Baldwin's allegations -- that Basinger blocked his visitation rights, blocked his rights to speak with his daughter on the telephone and failed to notify him when the child suffered an injury.

Basinger pled not guilty through her lawyer, Neal Hersh. The actress did not appear for the arraignment.

The former couple has been locked in an epic custody battle over 10-year-old Ireland. Baldwin has alleged Basinger is thwarting his ability to parent. Basinger

Agree. She's attractive enough to go into teaching.

Too bad Alec couldn't be arraigned in criminal court for being a jerk.

I assume you are a financial supporter of the site to post such tripe?

Regardless of his politics, if Kim is thwarting his attempts at being a father, and hindering contact with his son, that is a problem.

And hopefully this isn't an attempt on Alec's part to just be his usual "jerk" self and cause trouble for Kim. It's bad enough when non-actors use their kids to create trouble for the other parent, but worse when Hollyweirdo's do it, because then it's in the papers and made for all to see.

And regardless of the truth in this story (or lack of therein) I feel bad for the kids.

Plus, she refused to do his laundry.

I think Alec Baldwin is a very vindictive little man.

Alec Baldwin is a fool in politics, but that does not mean he is not a good father. Bassinger and her Lawyers-from-Hell have been grossly abusing Alec's paternal rights for many years.

I strongly support Alec Baldwin in this issue!

I really don't know what your talking about.

Read the Home Page for the mission of our Founder, Jim Robinson. He allows a LOT of latitude on what we post outside that. As a newbie, you are a target posting silly like that. I got you now!

See that bar on top sitting on 14%. Please, if you are not homeless, find the fundraiser and kick in some $$

Clear?

If this comes off as harsh - too bad. I was here about six months before I figured out that it was well worth supporting.

ONE more - learn the difference between "your" and "you're".

Most fathers don't have the financial wherewithal to get this stuff resolved in the courts. Baldwin does, but his daughter will probably be an adult before he gets any final resolution from the justice system.

Meanwhile, as these two GIGANTIC egos are fighting it out, the welfare of the kid does not appear to be the priority between these people.

Sad.

Guilty! House arrest! MY house! [Unfortunately that would definitely constitute cruel and unusual punishment within the meaning of the Eighth Amendment].
