Too bad this silly author isn't a Christian. They don't "fear" death. They live their lives as best they can and when GOD determines time is up they live with Him for eternity.
In our family we are protective of loved ones - alive and deceased. I don't know Steve Irwin however we routinely watched his show and enjoyed him. We'll miss him. He has a place in our hearts.
Steve Irwin was the real deal. Humble beginnings. A conservative. Straight shooter. Family man. Loved his parents and loved animals. CLEAN shows - no bathroom talk. A CONSERVATIONALIST; not a "naturalist or an environmentalist who put his money where his mouth was QUIETLY. Unlike other wealthy people he didn't ANNOUNCE his generosity for recognition. You couldn't help but like his UPBEAT enthusiasm and passion.
Would I want to see Steve's last moments for entertainment, "educational" or historical "reasons" ? NO! It would be too emotionally painful to view and I'd want to protect him from the above mentioned reasons.
There is NOTHING entertaining, educational or historical about what happened to Steve. It was a very sad fluke that is a tragedy. Whether people want to be honest with themselves or not, to view this is wrong. You'd have to be a COLD HEARTLESS person to get gratification over someone's heartache and untimely loss. Steve in particular should be remembered for the conservative man of principle he was and his passion and upbeat enthusiasm as a CONSERVATIONALIST. He made a difference!
