Anna Nicole Smith's representatives have allegedly secured more than £318,000 for the last pictures of her dead son.
The former Playmate posed with tragic Daniel and his new sister in a Bahamian maternity ward the night before he was found dead.
Daniel, 20, was discovered slumped in a chair at the hospital on September 10.
Authorities in the Caribbean have launched an inquiry into the sudden death of Daniel, who was known to be taking anti-depressants at the time.
Smith's representatives and her photo agent Getty Images have reportedly been paid the cash by a US magazine and TV shows.
In Touch magazine paid a reported £212,000 for the print exclusive.
And the Paramount-produced television shows 'Entertainment Tonight' and 'The Insider' allegedly paid an estimated £132,000 for the TV rights.
"There is an incredible amount of emotion attached to this story and the photos, and our story will be a tribute to Daniel's life as well as a celebration of it," an In Touch spokesman said.
"I'm told that Anna Nicole has vague plans to use a portion of the money for a Daniel Smith memorial and it wasn't clear yesterday what percentage of the proceeds Getty is taking as a commission," a New York Daily News columnist wrote.
Anna Nicole Smith has still not been seen publicly since the sudden death of her son.
A spokesman for Paramount Television did not make a comment.
There is no way to express the sickness of this woman if this proves true.

What do you expect from someone with zero marketable skills, who's entire life has been spent cashing in on her celebrity status. Sad, maybe, but certainly not surprising.
The media will use these pictures to sell magazines and make huge profits off him as well. These mags will not be free. Why should the media profit off his death? She should put the money away for her newborn daughter as a gift from the brother she will never know.
I always thought she was just a whore and this stuff comes naturally to her.

I really don't fault her...flame away. Somehow, somewhere, someday, somebody was going to make $$$ off of those photos so why not her and her family (new daughter). There would be no way to stop a release once it was 'out there.' Also, just getting the photos out there would stop the tabloids from hinting at, bargaining for 'the last photos of ANS and her late son. And ANS's handlers could control the photos (no photo shopping). Her advisors (HK Stern) probably thought this was the best way to make the public side of the loss go away.

They look to be her personal snapshots, not professional photos.
She could have just posted the pics on the Internet and then there would have been no way for anyone to make money off the pics.

I tend to agree with you, but would like to know if a crime has taken place first. I certainly wouldn't have wanted OJ to cash in on pictures he took at his crime scene!
