Not only that I just can't imagine an off duty cop even getting involved. However, with tin foil adjusted properly, I could see someone being taken down for hire.We are talking big league major bucks, betting, so on and so forth.

My emergency service background is firefighting, but it seems to me that it would make more sense to call in and report an erratic driver, then tail him until an on duty officer arrived. If a guy is off duty and out of uniform, trying to pull someone over is very risky. There's a very good chance you would be mistaken for a bad guy trying a hijacking.

Like I said, I don't have any inside information, and I'm not taking sides yet, but this cop better have something to back up his side of the story, or he could end up getting charged for assault with a deadly weapon.
