Often enough. But far from always. Many of us enjoy armchair diagnosis realizing that it's inherently flawed. Some idiots even write books about the psychological profiles of Presidents current and past.
There need to be lots of grains of salt handy but it can be a worthwhile mental exercise--as long as one realizes it's inherently a flawed adventure.
Some things get highlighted for public discourse that way which would not get due attention otherwise.
