Guess he figured out nobody wanted to pay for his filth........
Stern needs to feel relevant. The man has had all kinds of money thrown at him, but he still must be longing for something more, on the inside.
Another 90's relic struggles to stay with-it.
$500 million for "are those real?" and "take ya top off"
Only in America!
Howard Stern is so 90s.
He's sucking wind, and Sirius will probably gladly take cash in lieu of any exculsivity they have with him. It's not like they have people beating down their doors to listen to Howard. All the hype was just that---hype. His show is boring, and without FCC limitations, it can hardly push the envelope since there is no envelope to be pushed. O&A have made a cottage industry out of mocking him and it shows. Stern is losing it inside. He's berated his audience as cheap for not coming over to Sirius, he has only 1/10 of his former audience, and that's being very kind (probably more accurately 1/20), and his nemesis, O&A, get the best of him at every turn. In the end, he made a load of cash, but it could very well be at the expense of his massive ego.
He's no "Roe Conn Show."
So.
Totally.
Over.
Buh.
Bye.

A middle-aged guy with long curly hair, apotty mouth and a trophy wife/girlfriend who gets over-paid for a radio show with dwindling ratings. Are we talking about Don Imus or Howard Stern?
