City of Richardson

Posted on 05/08/2006 11:08:23 AM PDT by spudwhump

There was once a time in our recet past when the amount of money City Hall and the RISD could collect and spend was not the most important issue in our community.

The tax money that should be used to pay for routine maintenance and repair of the City and RISD infrastructure has been spent on a broad range of nice, but useless items. Meanwhile, streets, sewers, sidewalks, classrooms, and other capital facilities crumble.

Now, we find we must go into debt to pay for those things that should have been in the daily budget.

2006 brings a $55M bond election for the City and $145M for the RISD.

We will never get to a point where taxes are stabilized if there is no plan for obsolecence.

Glad you liked it! The toughest thing was deciding which ones to send, there's about 100 brands here.

I thought Bill renamed Albuquerque in his own honor. He's still got dreams of 2008, after all. ;)
