Police say most vehicles hit owned by other Hispanics

Huntsville police Wednesday arrested an illegal alien Hispanic worker at Cinram Corp. in connection with the vandalism of fellow Cinram employees' vehicles in the company parking lot.

Police said the vehicles, most of them owned by Hispanics, apparently were targeted because the owners went to work Monday during the "Day Without Immigrants."

Ricardo Hernandez, 38, of 3809 Thomas Road, Apt. 13, was charged with felony criminal mischief and possession of a forged instrument, said Capt. Andy Jackson, commander of the north precinct. Jackson said Hernandez had forged resident alien (green card) and Social Security cards.

Nail this guy.

Jackson said Huntsville police will notify the federal Immigration and Naturalization Service about Hernandez. He said Hernandez is subject to being deported, but must first stand trial and serve any sentence for the vandalism charges.

Looks like we ought to also be arresting the CEO of Cinram.

Notice how with this sentence and with the headline, they're lumping ALL hispanics together--illegal, legal, and U.S. citizens. It drives me up the wall.

Aren't forged social security cards a felony? Too bad nobody cares.

Why? There was nothing in the article to tell whether or not his other Hispanic employees were illegal. It also did not state how good Hernandez forged ID was. Was it only good enough to "fool" an willing employer just looking to fill out an I-9, or did the police have to go back to ICE and track down the ID numbers to see that they were being used by multiple people at once?

Since I've never had to deal with it, is there any way to call the government and verify a green card?

I couldn't find a transcript but this morning on Fox & Friends they discussed a Mexican family who runs a business of creating counterfit documents, including ss cards, green cards, etc. If I recall correctly, it was said that this business operates in 50 states and the counterfit work is so professionally done that only an expert can tell the difference.
