Ben Stiller is in final talks to work with the Farrelly Brothers again, this time in Seven Day Itch, Variety reports.
The comedy, a loose remake of The Heartbreak Kid, is about a man (Stiller) who hastily weds a woman, but then falls in love with another while on his honeymoon.
The Farrellys directed Stiller in 1998's There's Something About Mary.
Stiller is currently shooting the action-comedy The Night At The Museum with Ricky Gervais.

He was awesome in Dodgeball! This is the worst typecasting ever!
I don't normally agree with Maddox, but he got this one right.
Stiller is a "One-note" actor. When you have seen one of his movies, you've seen them all. I will also express my disgust with ALL the re-makes of old movies and washed up tv shows.

I'm not so sure about that. Stiller was hilarious in Zoolander.
Stiller sucks! (pithy?)
I've seen them all and I thoroughly enjoy them. I especially liked Stiller's early sketch comedy show that was unforunately cancelled.
I will join you in that disgust.
And now I hear they are going to remake Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House
Unconscionable.
Don't forget "Flirting With Disaster."
I wonder who'll play Lila Kolodny (the jilted wife in the original). I saw a comment on IMDB that's very accurate; today's young actresses don't want to look anything but glamorous and dignified on screen. Lila had to sing out of tune, chew egg salad and get it on her face, eat a candy bar in bed, and get sunburned. Jeanne Berlin was very pretty, but she had to be able to be convincingly upstaged by Cybill Shepherd. Who would be up to that part?
This was a good movie. Sort of like the Graduate in that it was a sensitive subject. A guy on his honeymoon falls for another gal.
He is OK but not great by any means. He did marry one of the prettiest actresses in the business tho.
"no pecan pie?" My favorite scene from the original.
Leave beauty and perfection alone.
The Kids These Days often will never know about these movies in the original. Plus, social mores have changed so much that they can't relate to them, so they do remakes.
BTW, what do you suppose N. Simon was saying with that film? The ending has Lenny in a solemn, staid Minnesota wedding, I recall without any of his family. Maybe foreshadowing an unhappily ever after scenario, or a warning against buying into the Jewish-guy/WASP-girl stereotypes.
