Well .. how can she be impeached - isn't her party in charge of Congress ..??
Does anybody connected with this show have any idea how the govt actually runs ..??
Actually in the show she is an Independent. Apparently the President who died, thus putting her in office, was a Republican who choose an Independent VP in order to help win a portion of the middle/left vote (as if there weren't enough RINO's to choose from if that was his plan).
In reality I think Hollywood was just too chicken to call her a Democrat. Her views are definitely left of center. They want to use this as a platform to criticize "all" parties (meaning Republicans) with the appearance of nonpartisonship.
Well part of the creative team is prior members of the former administration. But, then again, being a member of the Clinton administration, and having an idea of how the government runs is not necessarily inclusive.
