Baseball is back. Hope springs anew. The rivalries, the history, the scandals, the hype.

Tonight features two good teams that are great to watch and will be there at the end.

Welcome back.....

I'm a Tribe fan here on Chicago's Great Sout' Side so I have to always be ready to duck.

I am glad they have returned. Baseball is one of those things that makes the times go by a little bit better if your team is winning. I look forward to my son being born and being able to enjoy it with him when he gets older.

And ESPN is already into overhype mode. I used to like Peter Gammons until his liberalism started showing up in his columns.

Thanks for starting the thread. I was going to if there weren't one already. As an Astros fan the Sox have my respect, and I wouldn't mind see some great individual performances (for my fantasy team), but as a native Clevelander I have to pull for the Tribe in the AL. Here's to another great season of baseball!

Roy-O is gearing to go tomorrow! Lance is back at 100% (no church-sponsored flag football this offseason) and Preston Wilson should be a huge addition. 91 wins, good enough for the third straight wild card--that's my prediction.

The baseball season should open during the daytime. And if I were king of the world the opening day of baseball season would be a national holiday!

****Peter Gammons****

That's the same Peter Gammons who about 10 years ago told us that Tom Glavine had a career ending arm injury. LOL!

Buerhle (I probably spelled that wrong) turns in a 1-2-3 inning, with a K, a groundout, and a popup.

His sources are some of the best in the game. I guess they all get it wrong some times. Peter has some interesting insights on the game but I think he is a bit too in love with it and is a bit too much of an Ambassador for my taste
