Are there any British people on this board?
Posted on 03/26/2006 5:26:28 PM PST by Albertafriend
I am looking for some help with something related to the way a particular thing is said in the common but preferably educated British way of speaking or writing. It's very easy requiring you to only use a particular word--nothing profane or lewd in a short sentence. If you are willing to help me please say so and I'll contact you with the word. I want to approach people privately because I don't want anyone to be influenced by what someone else says. So if you are from GB or know someone who is, even if no longer living there, or you know someone on FR that is, can you help me please?

Very mysterious!
Does someone in regular contact with Brits count? There are some hilarious variances between different areas of England; then there's the Welsh, the Scots and the ever-lovin' Irish.
Good luck to ye.

Plenty of UK disruptor's. Go to your FR home page, click locals and scroll to the UK forum. I am sure you will find plenty of good old English backstabber's there.

You have two kinds of Brits on this forum. The first type understand that gun control is the biggest evil in Britan today. It's worse than Abu Hamza. They know that Britain's hate-speech laws only hurt freedom of speech. They understand that Americans have more fredoms than they do and wish it weren't true. From deporting wogs to giving arms to the common man, they're true Anglo-Saxon sons and daughters. They know the meaning of "England Expects." If they don't like fox hunting, at least they know that PETA is a communist front organization and that it's class warfare to try to stop it.
And then you have the others. I don't think they understand the meaning of the word "conservative." But it sounds nice, so they bat it around and try to make the description fit.

Thanks a lot. I'll contact you with the word as soon as I can.
