('Crash') won no awards before this." What does he mean "before this?" The Golden Globes? Big deal. The Academy doesn't march lock-step with anyone.
Also, kudos to the Academy for not rewarding Steven Spielberg for his boring, factually incorrect, and moral wasteland of a film -- Munich.
