They say it never rains in Southern California.
It was really nice in La Paz last week...
It's about time we got some rain in parched Southern Cal. I'm getting tired of having July in February. I'm loving the steady downpour we're getting. I wish it was going to last longer than beyond tomorrow afternoon.
Those of us here in S.E. Mi. are getting more of that white crap [read as snow]! Man do I hate this stuff! I am more than ready for Spring!

A foot of snow buried Fairbanks over the weekend. This is not the usual, a foot of snow is infrequent in Fairbanks. Some streets are still closed to school buses. Why it stopped school buses is a mystery, it didn't even slow down the kids in their pickup trucks.

We need a lot more to alleviate the drought. Hardly had a winter this year. Got to replenish the groundwater. Bring it on.

3/4" of an inch of rain so far from the storm out here near Pomona. LA County has their boats attached to county vehicles for swift water rescue if needed, and a couple of the dam operators I've spoken with note it'd take about five days of good rain before they'd start to wonder if they should do something.
So far, nothing much to report. Scattered showers has been the rule of the day; tonight will likely bring more.
