It sure doesn't. And don't shoot the 'unarmed' man who breaks into your home to rape your wife or to rob your goods for it will be you who gets charged with a crime for defending your home.
That's news to me. I just got my firearms ID and handgun permits, and I live just a few miles from a highly acclaimed shooting range.
Granted, I shouldn't have to have a "permit" nor should I need to "apply" for one. But the 2nd Amendment being infringed, and the 2nd Amendment not applying here (as you said), are two different things.
