I like the way FR works too. The other forum formats have cutesy features, but I like FR for it's simplicity.
Good Evening All!
I got to trail ride yesterday and today. I rode a sorrel QH mare (The only mare they had) named Sassy. I got to trot her a little. She has a REALLY smooth trot. But, since she was sort of old, I couldn't trot her very much. :o/
It's going to be wierd trotting Grandpa again after riding such a smooth horse!!!!
Glad you have the chance to go on these trail rides.. sounds fun!
Hi from beautiful San Diego. Tuffy, glad he's doing better. Duchesh, she's beautiful. Congratulations.
Holy toledo, what are you doing in San Diego?? Can I join you????
Should I have used a different name than tuffydoodle?
Nothing wrong with tuffydoodle... I just didn't think HairOfTheDog was the best name for a farrier forum :~D
Those guys are just goin round and round on your thread! And they're debating the shoes he had that were actually OK when they were on him, right?
I've only got one answer so far, from a guy that didn't get the situation quite right... I don't give bute that often and I made it sound like I do.
I left home:')
San Diego??? That's a little past Phoenix isn't it :) Hope you're having a great time.
Oh and come on up. Meet me in Vegas tomorrow night.
My board name is the same on every board I join. That way 1) I can remember it and 2) then people recognize me if they frequent any of the boards I do and 3) so no one else can use my name and get me in trouble, I can do that on my own.
We took a little westardly jog.
Put some money on black and don't forget to play $20 in a Megabucks slot machine - you might win your ranch :)
Yeah. I use Cindydawg. It keeps things simple.
Have a great time. It's not often life hands us the chance to do something like that so make the most of it :)
So glad to hear Tuffy's doing better!
Someone is going to win it,huh? I miss my horses.
You and Becky both used different names so I thought I had made a boo boo. I was starting to get paranoid....
The heartbars that I posted the pics of were the best ones Tuffy wore!
It's that one know it all that's causing the debate, forgewizard or something.
"no one else can use my name and get me in trouble, I can do that on my own."
LOL you and me both.
I can't wait to go see him. I would like to go tomorrow but the vets off on Mondays and I wanted to talk with him.
We decide when we get where we are going. We were sleeping in the van but it's full of airplane parts now. I had such a good time at the airport.
Did yall see on the news
thursday where that horse pulling a cart with the mayors wife bolt? He ran around everyone in the parade until he caught up with the horse cart ahead of him. I guess he thought he was getting left.
I heard something about it but didn't know what happened. Was anybody hurt?
And, remember the young couple who bought Speed? He was over today, learning to ride - first time ever on a horse and he did great. He's riding Speed's momma.
Someone always does and they are generally a tourist from out of state, and they always say, I only put twenty bucks in :)
That is a beautiful baby and what a pretty head! He has an hour glass blaze.
I just saw the news. She was taken to the hospital but was reported not serious. The cart didn't flip and no one fell out.
My mouth (or fingers) move a lot faster than my brain unfortunately :)
She probably nearly had a coronary, that's why they took her to the hospital. :)
That's funny. Sometimes I hammer back at someone then the next day think, why the heck did I say that???
Foals are just so cute. They're all legs! *laughing*
And I agree with everyone else on that blaze. It's really nice-looking.
She does - maybe I can come up with a barn name that is a play on time :) She is a sweetheart and I think she'll be a gorgeous mare, although probably fairly big. We didn't do much imprinting on her last night, although today she met the world. Her momma was a maiden mare and we wanted to make sure they bonded.
I'm bad about - shoot, I didn't ;mean that the way it sounded. I have a bad habit of not fully explaining myself, I just assume others can read my mind and it causes all sorts of problems.
I said "he" didn't I? I meant "she". ;)
I'm open to suggestions for a name. Her registered name will be TE Classy Jax but I haven't come up with a barn name for her. Her mom is TE Class Fantasy (Fanny) and her dad is Jax O'Lena (Jax).
We have two dogs with us. Yesterday we were going down the road 75, maybe 80 and they got in a fight under my Dad's leg. He was able to put a choke hold on the agressor and pull over but it was a fast stop. I got out and built a dam of bags to keep the big one in the back!
:) She seems dainty, even though she's good sized and has really long legs.
Dare I ask what kind of dogs? That sounds like something my little ones would do.
Back later - I have to pay bills, I've put it off all weekend. Cindy, have fun and stay safe.
Good grief, I bet that scared you half to death.
I'm putting the rugrats to bed and hitting the sack. Have fun on your trip and stay safe!!! Post some pics when you get to Vegas....
Play on the word "time"? Her mother was a maiden mare?
hehehehe....what about Minute Maid? ;-)
(Kidding, of course.)
I'll post pics of them when I get home.
A friend just called me and said, she's so petite and dainty, how about CJ? I don't quite know how one relates to the other but CJ sounds okay, don't you think?
Okay. Have fun and now that I've heard about the pups, really - Stay Safe :)
One of the sweetest, kindest horses I've ever known was named "CJ".
Hey Becky, they are hollering for pictures on that farrier site.
One farrier suggested an auto-immune disorder could be tuffy's problem but I looked up the one she suggested and it ain't it. He doesn't have any symptoms of "pemphigus", the illness mentioned.
