Last week, on the eve of Penn State's Orange Bowl game against Florida State, Paterno said something really dumb. He was asked about Seminoles linebacker A.J. Nicholson, who had been accused of sexual assault, and he said this:
"There are so many people gravitating to these kids. Maybe he didn't know what he was getting into, Nicholson. Somebody will knock on the door. A cute girl knocks on the door. What do you do?
"Thank God, they don't knock on my door. I'd refer them to a couple of other rooms.
"But that's too bad. You hate to see that, you really do. You'd like to see a kid end up his career. And he's a heck of a football player, he really is. It's just too bad. That's all I can say. It's just too bad."
No. That's not all he can say. Heck, that isn't all he said. And now Paterno should be in hot water, except the man apparently has waterproof, flame-retardant skin. Nothing he says ever gets him in serious trouble.....

It's not PC puke journalism. Paterno's comments were outrageous in this case...football players get a complete pass just because there are some co-eds that come on to them?
The fact is that Paterno gets away with stuff all the time and ought to be held to account. I'm not saying he should resign, but he has made many outrageous statements over the years and he gets a complete pass. That's inexcusable.
I'm pretty sure the victim is not overcome with joy either, Joe.
It's stupid of him to be sure. But FAR LESS OFFENSIVE than what is said every single day by worthless POS like Hillary, Durbin, Kennedy, etc. Once these scum are censored and booted out of the Senate, then I'll consider worrying about a coach's ill informed remarks.
Rosenberg is such a whiner, whine, whine, whine!! Maybe if he was a big time school coach who had to put up with the usually suspect sports reporters for the various rags they "work" for, he might have something to complain about. As it is, Rosenberg sounds like the little old lady down the street...tsk, tsk, tsk. What a putz! Let's complain more and more that he gets away with something I don't...it isn't fair, whine, whine, whine. Paterno has forgotten more than this so-called clown reporter will ever know, so maybe Rosenberg should shut his pie hole and slink back into the hole he lives in.
While defending the NOW nags, you must certainly have head-up-ass syndrome.
