Drug smuggler who died in the 1980's who I think has been linked to alien intelligence, a whole bunch of five letter conspiracies, etc, etc, etc.
Hmm. His FBI file should now be available via the freedom of information act. Could make for interesting reading.

Thanks much. I just was reading some conspiracy crud from the USENET regarding something totally unrelated (I thought!) but it may have something to do with Barry Seal's drug running, etc.

Roughly, on Seal:
He was an accomplished pilot and ran drugs until caught be the feds. He then worked for the DEA or CIA (I think) and secretly photographed Panama's President MANUEL NORIEGA helping unload drugs from Seal's aircraft. The pictures President Reagan showed on national TV, if I recall correctly, where those pictures. Barry Seal was convicted of the drug charges and was allowed to work outside the prison during the day. On his return one evening he was killed by gunmen hired by a SA Drug Cartel.

Ray has it right. The judge who assigned Seal to his fatal halfway house basically pinned an assassin's target on him.

Yes, killed by fellow prisoners. Wonder why?
Or were the Klintoons somehow involved in his death? After all, we know that the only moral principle those two have is "Can we get away with this?" and killing is not outside their moral code.

Yea, the Judge was pretty much in on that hit IMO.
Seal never had a chance.

Set up and knocked down like a bowling pin.
After he was flipped, he was one brave dude, flying right down to Colombia to meet personally with the Escobars for example. If they had learned he had turned, they would have slow-roasted him. Brave.

There were lots of stories connected to Barry Seal, most also with connections to Bill Clinton. There was a big magazine article about him during the Clinton Whitewater Days.

He didn't have much choice, the DEA made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
That, or rot in prison for life. Still, he exceeded all expectations once active for the good guys.
