But it's also the only reason they get away with it. It's sort of a code that allows them to make certain un-PC points they would otherwise be hounded out of town for.
I still can't understand all of the words to the "Going down to South Park" song.
also heap a great deal of scorn on institutions that should be dear to the hearts of most conservatives, such as organized religion.Conservatism is at its heart based on individualism. Organized religion is by its very nature a collective enterprise. There's plenty of room to be affiliated with one but not the other.

Glad to know I am not the only one. I can't tell if they are cussing, blaspheming, or even being funny.
Please note if Matt and Trey are reading your thread, then they found a new "indignant" group to target.
Thats why alot of conservatives like them...we can handle the mockery pointed at some of our institutions. Our belief in our ideals are stronger than our indignation when they are being mocked.
Which is why they are more successful at mocking liberals because liberals take so much offense as they dont believe in their institutions.
You are only showing the lack of belief in conservative ideals when you take such personal offense to things SP mocks that you hold in high regard.
Making fun of retarded people. Real uplifting."
How insensitive can you get?...they prefer being called * Challenged *...not retarded
My tinfoil hat theory is that the South Park Haters (and their cousins, the Rabid Creationists) are really deep cover agents from DU, sent over to chew up FR's bandwidth and make conservatives look like idiots. Some of us thought that "Old Cracker" was actually Trey Parker having fun.
Another possibility is that the DUmmies recognize South Park as one of conservatism/libertarianism's most potent messengers among younger and more irreverent people, and are trying to discredit it among the right.

"I broke the dam"
But all the Conservative in Name Only so called South Park Conservatives here will undoubtably jump to defend them.
So I'm not a conservative because I like this show? I would go as far as to say that only a liberal in the closet would want to restrict what a person can and cannot watch on TV.
Lord knows if we list the stuff that you find entertaining, we can twist you into a total Communist.
Goin' down to South Park gonna have myself a time
Friendly faces everywhere, humble folks without temptation.
Goin' down to South Park gonna leave my woes behind,
Ample parking day or night, people saying 'Howdy stranger'.
Goin' down to South Park gonna see if I can't unwind.

(alt: Timmy Timmy Timmy Timmy Timmy Timmy Timmy Timmy!)
Goin' down to South Park gonna meet some friends of mine.
That's about as close as I can get to it.

...and if you play it backwards?
Ample parking day or night, people saying 'Howdy stranger'."
That was the line I couldn't get.
I think it's the theme to "Love Boat". I think.
Probably because Conservatives. . . .that is, REAL Conservatives:
1. Have a sense of humor . . .unlike liberals. . .
2. Don't like being told what they "shouldn't watch". . .
3. Unlike Liberals, we don't indulge in groupthink. . .
I'll bet Robert Bork would agree with me.
