Ping.
I haven't read Tom Craighead before. I got this letter in email and tracked it back to Tom Craighead's website.
Sounds believable; but it could also be backend marketing for his books.
Don't know.

Sounds more like a bash-job to me.
"Let's use all the right-wing stereotypes in 100 words or less!"
"Throw in some Cold War boogeymen, that'll make 'em just lap it up!"
Needless to say, I think this is bunk.

By the TRAC's reckoning, when TRAC takes over the US government, and is in the process of running the economy into the ground, it will also use "Christian values" as a defense for voter fraud, racial and sexual discrimination, environmental pollution, the torture of political prisoners, curtailment of civil liberties and press freedom, dissemination of propaganda and disinformation, and ungrounded military assaults on other sovereign nations that kill tens of thousands of innocent civilians. My eyes have rolled so far back into my head, I think they're stuck.

He does not sound like a college professor; and while I doubt the authenticity of the letter; it's core uderpinnings carry some truth and potential for truth; surely there are more than a few communists in the NEA. . .
All of which is to say. . .this story uses the same propagandizing techniques that it's author proposes he experienced and wants now to refute.

I think this is an attempt at reverse psychology on the Dems' part...Start an internet rumor that they want the Christian right to keep doing everything that they already do; In a liberal's mind, this will make the right move more towards the left, just to spite them(the left).

The plan is to destroy the capitalist system by bankrupting the government of the United States of America through enormous deficits. The United States, as you know, when it is running a budget deficit, runs on loans floated by Japan, Saudi Arabia, and communist China. But if our operatives in international banking were to call in those loans, the U.S. would be forced to default, and the American economy would collapse. I hear this a lot around here, and it is generally a good indicator that a person has absolutely no idea what they are talking about, with regards to how the bond market works anyway.
