Relatives of Cape May County Jail inmates say a song the was sung by police recruits was not music to their ears.
More than 50 recruits and their trainers jogged in formation past the jail last week singing: "Jailbirds, jailbirds, look and see. You're locked up and we're free.''
Relatives, who were in the jail parking lot, say they were shocked.
Jail officials don't believe any inmates heard the chant.
Freeholder Bob Sheets tells The Press of Atlantic City the simple thing would be to find another song or stop singing. Sheets spoke to the county's public safety training center's director.

Cry me a river scum bags.
Oh oops. I meant to post a picture of the Cape May Correctional Jail; but I didn't dump my cache before I did. Sorry.
What a great jody!!!
Freakin' whiners, they've obviously never been in the service. Songs during a 5 mile run would make them cry...
The truth will set you free.......
If the inmates' biggest worry is hearing this song, they should consider themselves fortunate....
My heart bleeds...
"Wrote a song about it..
Like to hear it?
Here it go....."
Reminds me of the Alcatraz tour guide that told us, with pity in his voice, that the poor prisoners could hear San Fran partying at night when they were freezing on the island.
"Jailbirds, jailbirds, look and see
You're locked up and your a.. belongs to me!"
hate crime. Bush's fault.
AND, our tour guide told us also that they prisoners could smell the chocolate from Ghirardelli's with pity in his voice!
