What is a tundra swan?
I can't even think about cooking or eating right now. We had a 5K fun run in town today to honor a young boy who lost his fight with brain cancer. It was a tremendous, joyous turnout. A knitted gaiter would've been welcome!
Now I'm going to curl up on the couch, watch football and knit scarves

First time I ever saw them in flight I was out with my hubby as he duck hunted. It was snowing.
We heard them first, a raucous, yet beautiful call, not the same as Canada geese, not a honking, muffled by the falling snow.
Hubby nudged me, and I looked up, and against the dark sky, a perfect V of these beautiful white birds was flying, with a snow goose who had decided to hang out them them. They have the biggest black feet, but are so amazingly graceful when they fly.
