A 31-year-old pregnant woman was killed yesterday when a man apparently drag racing on the Lowell Connector lost control of his car, which veered into the median strip at more than 90 miles per hour, became airborne, and landed on the woman's station wagon, police said.
The driver of the Mercury, Carlos Rodriguez, 18, of Lowell, was ejected from his car and was taken to Lowell General Hospital with numerous injuries, State Police said. He was transferred to Brigham and Women's Hospital, where he was listed last night in critical condition, police said.

That idiot! I feel badly for that woman's husband and family. Such a senseless death : (
will mass charge him for 1 or 2 deaths ?
My immediate thought as well. It was a topic on a local (Howie Carr) radio show.
Looks like you don't know Massachusetts very well. This clown's much more likely to be sentenced to 20 years of therapy than 20 years in jail.
My niece and her boyfriend were killed by a drunk driver. He served less than 2 years, and, according to the prosecutor, he wouldn't have even been convicted if he hadn't mysteriously decided to plead guilty.
I am sorry about your niece.
Thank you.She was a very,very sweet kid.She was 18 when she died.
word has it the worst this driver will be looking at is
5 years (prob. out in 2 or 3 w/ good behavior). It was said on
local talk radio that had he been drunk, the sentence
he might be facing would be at least slightly higher.

Thank you for the link. I live in the land of daily freeway chases, and sometimes they get rather ugly.
