LOS ANGELES -- Sylvester Stallone is reprising his role as gun-totin' John Rambo in the upcoming "Rambo IV."
The 59-year-old actor is also coming back as Rocky. He will write and direct the film he's calling "Rocky Balboa," the sixth installment in the series.
The new Rambo will start when the new Rocky wraps.

Rocky VI, Rambo IV.
Is Stallone that desperate for money? Why Sly? Why?

Which is right? Is it ROCKY or RAMBO???
They are not the same. Different character altogether.

This is what you call "going back to the well."
Actually I love the original Rocky (the sequels are a disgrace that turned a fine film into a punchline) First Blood, and First Blood Part 2. Rambo III was just ok, but interesting in light of current events.

He's working on sequels for both franchises.
Rambo III was actually a cool set-up for a return trip to Afghanistan to kick some Taliban ass if they have the stones to go the non-PC route.
I know that at one point in the 90s Sly had a script that featured Rambo the enviromentalist facing off against evil corporations and right-wing militia groups. Bleeech.

Is Stallone that desperate for money? Why Sly? Why? Desperate to turn back the hands of time, is my guess.
