France not a fan of Confederate flag

NEW YORK (AP) -- NASCAR CEO Brian France doesn't like fans flying Confederate flags at races as he tries to make auto racing more appealing to minorities and women.

"It's not a flag that I look at with anything favorable. That's for sure,'' he said in an interview with CBS' 60 Minutes to be aired Sunday.

Strange that PC has overtaken such. I have been doing a bit of reading of the post conflict era. Found that 30 years after the civil war many union officers and soldiers were proponents of erecting monuments and grave markers for the confederate dead. Colonel Dodge whom wrote the order to hang Sam Davis at Pulaski, TN, wrote a memorial to the dedication of Davis's courage and honor when he was executed.

I think soldiers have more respect for their former enemies than those who come later to rewrite history.

Brian France is an embarrassment. He's trying to cover every single PC base. The drivers dislike him; he's making enemies with the owners, and the fans are getting fed up with all of the political agenda.

Maybe the long rumored sanctioning body to compete with NASCAR will finally materialize, and Brian France can have his quota-envisioned NASCAR all to himself.

What an empty suit this clown is. Oh well, at least CBS baited France into saying exactly what they wanted to hear.
