no way are the Rams going to make it and not the Carolina Panthers....
although those nimrods over at SI think the Panthers are going to win the Super Bowl, I think they are good enough to make the playoffs as a wild Card.
So the two perennial choke teams will win the BCS and the Super Bowl. That is a lot to expect in one year.
You figure that a 'black horse' has to appear somewhere. The probablity on that happening is pretty high.
Indy outs it together.
It's now or never for Mack Brown, counting on USC to threepeat is very unrealistic.
I honestly don't see Texas leaving Columbus undefeated.
I also think Texas will choke against either A&M or Oklahoma, probably A&M.
Ohio State will probably find a way to lose to Michigan.
Tenneessee plays in the brutal SEC East, which will eliminate itself.
Michigan will lose to Iowa. Iowa will lose to Ohio State. The Big Ten is out.
I think in the end we will see USC vs. Miami.
And Miami will win that game.
This is coming from a Buckeye fan.
I think your analysis of the colleges is pretty sound. I agree UTx may well not leave Columbus unbeaten. Teams with good defenses usually slam the door shut on QBs who mainly try to win with their legs.
I really think the best team in the Big 11 is Iowa. I really like what their coach has done and every year he is getting more players.
We will know about UTn soon enough. It is hard to believe that out of UTn, UGa, UF and now SoCar that anyone gets out of the SEC East unbeaten.
I really think Iowa could make the BCS game. I am not sure about who their opponent might be. I think SoCal has lost to much particularly Chow to go through unbeaten again, but we shall see. BTW, this analysis is from a Gator fan.
last year with this current year's team, I would agree...but Iowa has to come to Columbus.
I think Ohio State will run the table at home, only dropping The Game at Michigan.
USC will run through the Suc-10 and will be in teh BCS. Look at how the Harris poll shapes up. It's perfectly tuned for USC to get there.
I have not looked much at what the Harris Poll will do. I know there has been controversy about it.
I know what you are saying about this years team with last years schedule for Iowa. Does Ohio State have enough offense beyond Ginn?
ohh yeah.
they nearly had 200 yards rushing today.
Miami of Ohio isn't a bad MAC team and they were looking for Ginn.
Santonio Holmes was open pretty much all day.
If the QBs for Ohio State, be it Zwick or Smith, don't make mistakes, Ohio State is going to be very hard to beat.
Smith comes back next week and that adds an entire new dimension to ohio state.
That said, Zwick was pretty mobile today as well.
That sounds like the Tressel Modus Operandi so I would expect his QB to make very few mistakes but not as many plays as some other QBs. But of course he has Ginn and Holmes to make the plays.
P.S. I was pretty young at the time but I can remember 40 years ago meeting Woody Hayes when my father was stationed in Columbus.
You need a defense to win a Super Bowl and Indy doesn't have it.
They're coming to Ft. Worth to play TCU in Oct., I'm excited to be able to sit in the stands and honor these great young men while they're playing halfway across the country. All the Service Academies are getting my cheers this year...they do more by 5AM than most people do in a day....THEN they play football!
Now, Perdogg....how hard do you think Kentucky's gonna stomp the Heels when they come to Rupp this season? (Cats being my pick for Champs....you'd figure that, eh?)
LOL! We'll see! :)
Spot on.
I don't know if this means anything but Karl Rove was spotted at Royal Stadium last week. I wonder if the fix is in?
Simply put:
Super Bowl
San Diego over Chicago
Rivers cements his position as the next Favre. You read it here first.
Ravens? #1 seed? Pffffft, you're kidding, right?
