WWE's latest batch of writers is said to continue in the trend of having absolutely no wrestling experience. One of the new female writers, who has a history with Nickelodeon, actually asked John Bradshaw Layfield how the wrestlers keep the fake blood flowing from their heads. What's even worse is that WWE has Court Bauer, one of the few writers with extensive knowledge, writing WWE Velocity.
Sources blame Stephanie McMahon for moving WWE as far away from "pure wrestling" as possible. She was said to have loved this week's RAW as it had a large quotient of off-beat entertainment.
- There are conflicting reports emerging as to Chris Jericho's status with WWE. One source reports that Jericho has informed management of his plans to take extended time off after Summerslam, largely to do work with Fozzy.
Jericho's failure to re-sign his contract is definitely a bad sign, as most wrestlers renew their contracts well ahead of the expiration date. While Jericho has been telling friends that his re-signing with WWE is not a given, some sources doubt such a claim. If WWE was not under the impression that Jericho was planning to continue with WWE, giving him a push into Summerslam would seem very illogical. With TNA about to debut on Spike TV, it seems unlikely that WWE would risk one of its stars jumping ship.
I can't imagine you could do a worse job than the people currently working for the WWE. I really miss the glory days of WCW.
Excuse me, but what is this story about?
Somehow I just can't picture rehearsals featuring 350 lb walls of muscle whining "but what's my motiva-shunnnn?"
The good news is I saved 15% by switching to Gieco.
The WCW writing was dreadful.
rasslin'
I should also mention here that Fozzy's guitarist (Rich Ward) and drummer (Bud Frontsere) are both conservatives.
Nothing currently going on in the WWE compares to the glory days of the NWO, or even the 80's wrestling for that matter.
WCW had story lines that went nowhere, Scott Hall showing up and then disappearing again, and general chaos that nobody could follow. Vince Russo was in way over his head.
I sure wish Steph was back on the show, she is one of the most beautiful.
Sure, it was ruined when Russo arrived. But before that, it was top notch. While no one is ever going to confuse professional wrestling with Shakespeare, today's storylines are too embarrasing for me to even watch.
I have pretty much stopped watching altogether. I will watch a few minutes if it is on when I am channel surfing but not much beyond that.
I just lost brain cells.
Pleez hlp cnt rmber how too spll............
Will 'Hassan 7:11' be coming to Raw soon? (now that UPN kicked him off Smackdown)
