Has the liberal bloc of the supreme court inflicted it's final blow?

Posted on 06/23/2005 6:07:40 PM PDT by Halfmanhalfamazing

What are your words/thoughts on the loss of your private property rights?

I haven't had this feeling since 9/11, and right now the thought of leaving the country seriously sounds like a good idea.

How........ is there possibly a fix for this?

Look, there are situations for which the Second Amendment was designed.

It just didn't occur to anyone in Connecticut that this was one. Instead, they went to court and got screwed by the lawyers and the judges.

Gotta' hand it to the fascists like Ginsburg ~ they know their victims eh?!

Even if (x conservative president) managed to put a majority of originalist judges in the SCOTUS, would that make a difference?

I can't help but feel that the final line.......... the line of no return.......... has been crossed.

While the court majority defenders will declare that the court sided with "Big Business" it has actaully sided with the goals of a communist state where there are no individual property rights.

Perhaps this will be the straw that will break the people's back in wanting to have liberals incharge of the supreme court.

The good old second amendment. I hope it won't come to that. But I'm just the one who in a situation like this would use it.

A majority of originalist judges could set things right, and wipe away the whole body of "jurisprudence" (aka judge-made laws) that deny us the rights guaranteed in the Constitution.

The sad part is that you have no reason at all to expect this President to nominate one.

I'm aware of the free republic userbase's poll on this topic.

But I fail to see how that could fix this problem. The second amendment was mentioned........ I don't see any other answer.

D-Day (Bruce McGill): War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.

Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Otter (Tim Matheson): [whispering] Germans?

Boon (Peter Riegert): Forget it, he's rolling.

Bluto: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough... [thinks hard] the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go! [runs out, alone; then returns] What the f**k happened to the Delta I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my a** from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Wormer, he's a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer -

Otter: Dead! Bluto's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

Bluto: We're just the guys to do it.

D-Day: Let's do it.

Bluto: LET'S DO IT!!

The elected officials in Connecticut (and in your town) are the people stealing property, and fighting for their theivery in the courts. SCOTUS merely colluded with them.

Simple solution: throw out any and all elected thieves! Getting new judges is secondary.

I think/hope it will be, and I'm so so thankful that the liberal media isn't ignoring this.

But I'm still curious as to what a fix for this is. Would originalist judges be able to reverse this? How can we recover? Sorry for sounding like I'm scared/cornered, but that's how I feel.

I do expect him to. He already has, AFAIK.

The problem is that I don't expect them to get confirmation. They'll be unconstitutionally filibustered.

That's all right. You and I are the only two people who pay attention to those silly polls.

Gosh, if anyone else saw that, they might vote a certain way!

*GASP*

Getting new judges is primary if it will reverse this ruling.

This is the kind of thing that would lead to a civil war.

Well, there's Janice Rogers Brown... but that's not a SCOTUS nomination. If you see Alberto Gonzales up for a SCOTUS seat you'll know there's no hope left.

You can bet that the phone lines between local Govt Liberals and their big Developer Pals are burning up tonight. They are probably already picking their targets. Christian Churches, GOP owned offices, mom & pop small businesses, and poor neighborhoods.

ROFL.......

The free rep poll is coming from(for the most part) the conservative base. That poll could've never existed and we both would already know the answer that was given.

I understand your point. I hope bush and others in high places have things to say about this tomorrow and in days to come.

I haven't been this scared in a long time.
