Nicole is a good Catholic who would not put up with the nutty Scientology crap Tom was trying to push on their kids..She most likely didn't like the fact he either didn't want to or couldn't father a child. I personally think Cruise is sterile or something.
Anyway, were Tom and Nicole married in the Catholic Church. My guess is no.
