KH is not flat chested.
I don't think it was Tom Cruise's. That is maybe another reason why they split...
It doesn't seem like Nicole or Mimi Rogers had that hard of a time getting pregnant after Tom was gone...
Did anyone tell her to be circumspect about the mental circumcision?
If you guys ever decide to go to London, beware of the big blue bus - a red double-decker that's been converted to Scientology. While I was over there, I was mobbed by Scientologists on the street. When I wouldn't stop to talk to them, they followed me, shouting things like "you don't know what you're talking about" and "bigot!". All I did was say, "no thanks" when they first approached me. It was terrifying! They finally backed off when I started running.
Did Richard Harris say that??!! God Bless his soul. He was as outspoken as the Cromwell that he played. It was Oliver Cromwell who said that he was "more severe than perhaps you would have it."
What profits a man to gain the world yet lose his soul?
On a side note: I think he's going to go for his co-star in War of the Worlds next. You know, that little blonde girl...
EXCELLENT WARNING/ADVISE
I like Nicole Kidman as an actress but if she was a "good Cathoilic" she would have never married TC and have to worry about him pushing his cult on her children
She has no idea of the danger she is choosing for herself. I feel sorry for her. And the kooky way she is coming off on tv (the MTV award show) and the talk shows isn't helping.
I don't know the answer to that but he didn't look so great. Or even enlightened!
Was he on tv? Shudder. I'm glad we don't get him here. He's creepy. I can remember being in grade school at a book store with my mom. I had been reading sci-fi in school, it was the thing then. There was a display of his 'work' and she went ballistic. He wasn't even a good sci-fi writer, but now they were pushing him as self-help! She warned me to not read him or be sucked in by his new age crap. She did borrow 'Dianetics' from the library and we had a good laugh over it.
Arlene seems to have fizzled out, instead of hitting as a full out hurricane. If heavy rain is 'fizzled out'. Good thing, though.
That dude messed up a perfectly good girl friend I had back in the 70s. That chick is still screwed up and never did find a decent man that would have her. Hey, she had her chance.
Sounds like her loss. ;-) And too bad for her, too, because some of the ex-cult members never seem to fully recover. And the cult just tosses them aside after taking everything from them, especially if they become ill or financially exhausted. A high school classmate of mine and a friend of a mutual friend was also sucked in. She didn't get out. No one's heard from her in over a decade. When my friend tried to find her, and actually received letters from her, scary people started showing up at her house, her mom's house(!) and this girl's mom's house. Threatening them to leave Deb alone and revealing that they had a lot of personal information about all of them and leaving with veiled threats.
Tom is ruining this young woman's life. Nicole is lucky to be 'out'.
Repeat after me: "oooooommmmmmmm, ooooooommmmmmmm."
Wow.
That was the book that Cindy got. "Dianetics". In fairness, she did spend time in an orphanage so that could have contributed to her vulnerability to Hubbard's shennanigans. I was just a punk kid at the time really.
I've heard Tom Cruise, John Travolta and other members of Scientology say how wonderful the Church of Scientology is, but never have I heard any of them speak of Jesus or God. Does anyone know if this "church" has any biblical foundation?
They love to prey on the vulnerable. Particularly those with earning potential. College students away for the first time. The divorced, the lonely, the famous. They play on insecurities and vulnerabilities and perceived weaknesses and twist words to fit the person. We are all in danger from cults, that's why it's important to be informed, to stand up for oneself and recognize red flags. Deb was smart and she seemed quite savvy, well traveled and even in high school running a business with family members. In her case, far from home, a handsome older boyfriend near her college swept her off her feet and introduced her to the cult. She did try to get out, they came and found her here.
