About 3 years ago I started flowering gardening. We cut out part of our patio, but decortive fencing around it and now it is our patio garden. Hope pictures are OK:)>

Nice work!
We have rather formal raised beds that are quite large, with trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals. I spend part of each day in the garden, and we walk there each evening discussing our work in progress, and plans for the future. We have much to do, as there was little in the way of landscaping here when we moved in two and a half years ago.

Nice pictures. We would like to do the same thing in our backyard when we get the new patio put in. So far here is our latest work. Ripped out the builders poor selection of plants and put in roses and hollyhocks. May have been a bad decision to put in hollyhocks. We have not grown them before and it looks like they may over take the roses, even though the roses are shrub roses.

What are the light green plants? They look like nandina. We had not considered doing a flower garden next to the patio when we put it in but now you've given us a good idea. Very nice.
