New York, NY, May 10, 2005 - Court TV's recently renamed daytime schedule, Court TV News™ continued its hold on the #2 cable news spot for the second week in a row, behind only Fox News Channel. Keeping the momentum going, for the week of May 2, in the 9 am - 6 pm time period, Court TV led all other news networks, finishing #2 in HH ratings and in the key adult demographic, 18-49. During that period, Court TV featured its regular daily schedule which includes Court TV News' shows, Nancy Grace: Closing Arguments and Catherine Crier Live.

Quipped Court TV Chairman and CEO Henry Schleiff, "Based on the performance of Court TV News, we really should be taking a page from Roger Ailes' playbook and be doubling our license fees - but, we're willing to talk settlement."

Overall, Court TV News™ delivered 105% more viewers during the week of May 2nd than it did for the same week, a year-ago (363,000 versus 177,000). Court TV News' headliners, Nancy Grace (3-5 pm) and Catherine Crier (5-6 pm) led the way. The network tallied a .5 household rating from 3-6 pm for the week, which equated to a daily average 452,000 total viewers. The figures catapulted the network into the 2nd most-watched cable channel in the time period.

I hardly think FOX is in any real danger from Court TV. A great many of us don't need endless coverage of the latest media frenzies. In fact Court TV should take Greta Van Sustren.

Nancy Grace (3-5 pm) and Catherine Crier (5-6 pm)

Who are they up against on Fox?

Yes, especially since Fox News abandoned reporting news about 2 years ago and instead has focused on oversensationalizing mundane events. In a further insult to its audience's intelligence, Fox News Channel always brings in analysts to OVER-analyze events.

How much Michael Jackson coverage do we need?

Why does Fox News always seem to have a single missing persons story going at a time?

How does Sean Hannity feel now that he's finally been revealed as a shell of a human being completely devoid of looking excited or possessing any creativity?

Can we please get more coverage of Scott Peterson by Greta van Helsing?

I love court TV. I'll tell you why.

Have you ever watched the Daily show with John Stewart? Well, it's purposely comedic because it's basically a John Stewart acting like a reporter with real reactions.

Court TV is the same way, only it's real. The people give common sense reactions. They don't freeze their face like Greta Van Sustren. They defy all the rules of what a reporter or opinion giver supposedly should act like.

They say sarcastic things, give facial expressions, and act just as REAL people act when they hear some nonsensical argument. If the network news stations picked up on that they could enjoy higher ratings too. Get some REAL people in there who have REAL common sense. They react- not act. And there isn't much fake smiling. IF they hear something stupid, they'll call it out.

Nancy Grace (3-5 pm) and Catherine Crier (5-6 pm)

They are up against Shep, Cavuto, and Gibson. Not the Fox heavyweights. So I don't see the big deal here.

What is Court TV doing in prime time against Hume, Hannity, O'Reilly, and Gretta?

Court TV only got more interesting to watch after they changed formats and added real forensic detective shows, COPS, and the like. These they stole from other outlets but that is fine with me. Court TV has only been made watchable until recently.

As for the personalities on Court TV, they fail miserably IMHO.

3 hours a day, every day, that's all we ask. Want a juicy Ruth's Chris steak while you listen?

Admit it, Hannity's radio show is devoid of creativity. He's a pure cheerleader.

I think he's got some great bits on his show, "Dr. Hannity", "Trash the lines", Great guests, etc.

I have no anomsity against the Ruth's Chris Steak commercials. When they give all of the injured veterans at Walter Reed free steak dinners, they can put on all of the advertising they want.

Anyway, I listen to Mark Levin mostly. He is awesome.

If a channel would just put Ann Coulter, Nancy Grace and Laura Ingraham on 24/7, they'd have a built in audience.

Court TV News doesn't want boring people like Rita Cosby they like people that aren't afraid to give opinions.
