Unfortunately, SOMEthing is afoot. When I came to Georgia 2.5 years ago, the price of gas was $1.29. I was pleasantly surprised, having lived in IL and NY.
Now it's a dollar more, and we WON in Iraq. Imagine if we had lost!

The Airbus A-380 will use 12 per cent less fuel per passenger than a 747, (obviously, assuming that both fly full), "80 passenger miles per gallon, about as much gas per passenger, per mile, as a Ford Taurus with three people on board." [Pop Sci, April 2005, p 58]

Be quiet. I am part of the fix. My company controls Halliburton, the US government, and all the oil on earth.

There is no shortage anywhere. When was the last time anyone here went to a gas station and they were out of gas?

There is no shortage anywhere. When was the last time anyone here went to a gas station and they were out of gas? Well, let's see. Seems to me that was during the days of Odd and Even license plate fill up days and I was pumping gas as a gas station attendant (good job to have during as gas shortage).

Exactly when I last saw stations out of gas. :)
I think we are being handed a line of bull, honestly.
And I wonder why it is that I never see gas prices vary more than a penny in any given town? That tells me that there is some level of collusion among suppliers.

I just posted a story of that nature on another thread just moments ago - Local stations (4 of them within less than 100 yds) all raise and lower their prices to exactly match within 5 minutes of each other. In the most recent case - all raised their prices a total of 22 cents in the last 3 days - with none of them receiving a load of fuel in that time.
