Maybe Greer can't be arrested by the Governor, but he sure could be arrested by sworn agents of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Don't know about Bush on this, but I know Clinton was cruel/harsh in the E. Gonzales case and he could be elected Gov. of Fla. in a minute. Bet? Go figure.

Oh, I agree that the ramifications will be extreme. I don't doubt that at all.

The universe is interconnected. God hates injustice. One more straw of terrible injustice just might break the cosmic camel's back forever.

I don't get the impression that Jeb is spineless or gutless, but I do get this feeling that he's a little too relaxed about everything he does and he's not taking this Schiavo case seriously enough. Jeb strikes me as one of those calm, fearless, relaxed guys who can spend two years in a war zone and never get a scratch on him. He'd probably be a fine President and handle the pressures of the job with ease. But I wonder sometimes if he just doesn't get after his job with enough energy, the way GWB does. It seems like he should have had this Schiavo case handled a long time ago and he didn't push hard enough to find a solution.

I really believe if she dies there in Florida without Jeb taking bold action, then Jeb can forget about ever getting elected President.

I'm in Tarpon Springs. Not much to say - prayed with everyone else when I really felt like pounding my head on a tree.

I have to presume that he has access to much stronger legal advisors and strategists then the SChiavo family and that is why I think the DCF approach is the one that is going to get it done.

Don't get me wrong, I want Terri to live also, but I am really concerned about the posts expecting Jeb and President Bush to step in here.

If they do that, not only will they find themselves being impeached, but even worse than that, the democrats will have just been handed a precedent.

Do we really want a party of death to step in and do what they want? The possibilities are terrifying.

I hope someone can tell me how far I am off base, or not. I would like to get some sleep tonight . . .

Sorry I can't help with the sleep thing. If it wasn't for this, I believe I'd already be asleep myself.

I sent email to Governor Bush and President Bush, not knowing if they'll ever be looked at by anyone who can make a difference.

I guess the main thing is, I choose to feel I did all I can do, and pray for the best.

Those we elected need to do what millions want them to do (as well as many all over the world), or a lot of caring people will have a dim opinion of our system.

I don't see how this can impress people who are seeking democracy in other countries, that it's a good way to go.
