Boycott Pinellas County
3/22/2005 | Schiavo Case

Posted on 03/22/2005 10:15:40 PM PST by JennysCool

I rarely post a vanity, but however the Schiavo case comes out, I would think it best that Pinellas County, Folrida, the mildewy backwater that has apparently encouraged this corruption for many years, be boycotted by clear-thinking Americans who do not wish their dollars be pipelined into a swamp such as this.

Apparently, Pinellas voters enjoy corrupt public works projects (hospices among them), and corrupt county officials. In fact, Pinellas folks have apparently sanctioned them for years and years. Perhaps they are both amused and enriched by them.

Well, no more. Pinellas County, Florida, right ought to be remembered throughout our history for sanctioning not only civic corruption, but venal idiocy and malign malice. For shorthand, we'l just call you "Selma."

I, for one, will never travel to any city in Pinellas County, nor purchase products made there, nor have any relationship or correspondence with anyone who makes their home in that rotten enclave.

I am certain that other surrounding counties -- just a hop, skip, and a jump from Pinellas, have much more to offer to thinking men and women.

As to the folks in Pinellas, the Terri Schiavo Case is all being done in your name, because you apparently countenance greed, and corruption, and malice. Probably just to make a buck. How are the real estate prices anyway?

Hope you enjoy what your property taxes hath wrought.

Idiots.

And as an insult, should I ever have a relative who is in need of being put down, I will go before a judge in a neighboring district out of spite! </sarcasm>

Boycott Pinellas County ping. I don't know where you go when you visit Florida, but thought you might like this idea.

All my time in Florida is spent either in Palm Beach (parents) or Miami-Dade (friends). Although parents are in Wexler's district, Miami friends are in heavily Republican area that, to my knowledge, has not starved someone to death against their will.

I can live without visiting the Don Cesar Hotel, the Dali Museaum of the St. Pete Pier. No problem with a boycott here.

Thanks. Spread the word.

Voters are ultimately responsible for their officials.

While I concur with your notion and support boycotts in principle as a tool against business and locales, I can't think of anything made there to boycott.

What drives the economy? Hospice? Nursing homes?

Is Boca Raton in Pinellas Co?

I believe Boca Raton is the Palm Beach/Broward border.

So, should we also organize a boycott of Nevada for giving us Dingy Harry? Give me a break.

I understand IBM has a major presence there, which is why I asked.

Okay. That means a fair amount of stuff to boycott.

Nope. Dingy Harry requires only a boycott of Vegas.

Rest of us are fine.

I've never been to Pinellas County. I won't go anytime soon. I still don't think a boycott will turn it into "penny-less county".

It will if it gets the reputation of being the Death County.
