Need Freeper help on recording 8mm camera to VHS

sound but no pic sounds like a connection error; check to make sure you have it wired right.

Your TV must be newer than mine. Mine is an older 31" RCA, and on the Line Input channel, if there is no signal the screen goes black and text in the lower left corner says "Unusable Signal".

Sounds like yours behaves the same way as the Professer's. I'll back out and let you help him

Have had an 8mm for years and copied everything to VHS and now copying to DVD's. If you can play it on the TV, set your VHS recorder up to record from the TV and it will work. We actually bought a small 13" VCR/TV so that I could record direct to VHS.

Plug the camcorder into the TV and make sure there is picture and sound input to the recorder from the TV and then hit record -- will play on TV and record in VHS like anything you have recorded from the TV.

Make sure the video input is amply connected.

Also make sure you are on the right relay channel. (Video input typically only does video, TV input # typically is just another input for different devices. If in the correct Input channel it should work.)
