Yes, indeed, and the welfare system here might explain some of the behaviour of young Irish women - they definitely don't seem to be looking for any serious relationship whenever I try.
Of course 20-somethings like myself don't want to settle down just yet, but a relationship doesn't mean enslavement at that age - but many women don't mind been tied down to the Welfare State.
I enjoyed my 20's, too, then got married less than two months after turning 30...it was a good decision...MUD
