Fellow Freepers,
Here is an interesting find on ebay. P.T. Barnum was right:

Can't believe what people will think, say, do for money. Can't believe others will actually fall for it.

This is not an auction, this is a fundraiser.
I bet it's against e-bay rules too.

Looking at her photo, I'd reckon she paid at least $10,000 for those crowns. I guess times are leaner now.

I'd pay 100 for a night with her.
But lose the marriage talk.

Remember, money can't buy you love....
but it does allow you to rent it for a while.

Can't believe what people will think, say, do for money. Actually, I bought one just like her on eBay last year but my wife wouldn't let me keep her when FedEx delivered her. ;-)

If this is for real and not a hoax, the young woman in question will probably be really, really angry if she sees this.

I seriously doubt that there is a grandmother. I suspect that the girl is doing it herself. NZ young people who have nothing else going for them, travel around NZ and the world working at odd jobs and just seeing the world. It is an excepted thing. I met many of them on a trip to NZ in 01. They are happy to tell you about their adventures and where they were heading next. Then they go home and settle down. NZ is a strange place, beautiful but kind of down at the heels, if you get my meaning.

I kinda doubt that Grandma would pick "pukeko75" as a screen name.

Fool!
You've uncovered my plot to take over the world with millions of evil clones!
Once they'd all been married off, I'd send teh signal and on a wave of Zombie Clone carnage be swept to power as unquestioned ruler of - The Soda Fountain!
/ joke.
She's not half bad.
But one does wonder why E-Bay has that up and would allow 'mail order bride/pimpin' like that.

I don't know about that, there are lots of place names in NZ that are taken from Maoire words and pu-KE-ko could easily be one of them. Our first destination in NZ was wong-a-NU-ee.
