Definitely overkill. It's nice that we can be humanitarian but this mad rush to create a tsunami of cash for the victims is insulting to the soldiers who died in Iraq.
But like you said, it's out of proportion, especially when the virtually unreported systematic executions by the Muslims in Sudan exceed the tsunami deaths annually.
We're on the same page.
I agree a few million dead in Rwanda and througout Africa.. or all the Sudanese Christian children taken as sex slaves tortured and murdered by muslims hardly raised an eyebrow (it seems) let alone a shed tear...
No rush of our military to save them though...or the UN or world outcry against the Muslims...
Nice non controversial disaster for every good person to get behind....which is good...
How we free people pick and choose who to help and who to ignore is kinda amazing sometimes...
Wait till all the deception artists scammier and skimmers are revealed in all this rush to aid...
Matt. 24: 11. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12. And because iniquity shall abound [iniquity grows, sin increases], the love of many shall wax [grow] cold.
(Matt. 24:11-12).
