Just saw this Nativity Scene abomination on TV witb Dave Beckham as Jesus and Posh Spice as the Virgin Mary.
Madame Tussaud's should be ashamed of itself.

I have to say I found it relatively amusing but would have prefered they not use the celebrities they did. I think using Bush, Blair and the Duke of Edinburgh as the wisemen can be construed in different ways but I like them and feel they would make good wisemen if there was a political nativity.
Are there any other thread on FR on this? I just heard about it and wondered if there was a discussion going on?

I can understand people being offended. I think having the Beckhams and Graham Norton in it offensive.
They could have done a nice attempt at a nativity or a political one but this seems to have no point at all apart from self promotion.
I think it was Beckham and his wife as Joseph and Mary (respectively).
Yeah---Posh Spice as the Virgin Mary.
I can't imagine them doing this to any other faith.
