John O'Neil for the Supreme Court?

Does anyone else think that President Bush should nominate John O'Neil for the Supreme Court? Perhaps the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court when the time comes.

He has shown, Intelligence, Integrity, Honor and Tenacity. We owe a great debt for what these Patriotic men have accomplished.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: honor; integrity; tenacity
This man should be rewarded for what he has done for America. It is time to acknowledge true Patriots in an honorable way. It would be nice to know someone of his character would be helping to guide our country in the years ahead.

I wonder why the Old Media never foun out that O'Neill gave a nominating speech for Nixon at the 1972 Republican Nation Convention?

Works for me, but the dems and old media will tear him apart. OTH, he may be willing and able to play blood sports.

I think it is high time to stop appointing judicial time servers to the USSC.

How about Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams. Ann Coulter or David Limbaugh.

He's a Democrat. Send him a thank you card if you want to reward him, or fly to Houston and take him to lunch.

But a lifetime appointment of a Democrat to the Supreme Court?

No thanks.

I think I can confidently assure you that no one else in the entire world thinks that.

John O'Neil and the other Swift Boat Veterans for truth have my eternal gratitude for both their service and sacrifice during the Viet Nam War, also for their self-less devotion to the truth that helped unmask the fraudulent democratic candidate for president. I don't think heroic is too strong a word to use to describe their willingness to subject themselves to the abuse, the character assassination, the reviling that they were forced to endure (again) as a result of stepping forward to try to shine the full light of truth on this sad chapter in the American story. When I think of the abuse they had to endure (think of Laurence O'Donnell's melt-down during a recent MSNBC discussion where he repeatedly called him a liar on the air), I can think of only one reason why O'Neil and his [true] band of brothers would subject themselves to that--they love their country, and they long for the truth to come out. There was no other reason--and no other payoff.

You would have thought that these Viet Vets had already given the last full measure of devotion once they were called back from the battlefield. But for this group the war went on and on--througout the 70's where anti-American types like John Kerry desecrated their service and sacrifice, on through the 80's and 90's where the soft fog of time spread over their memory and ours allowing us all to 'forget' but never fully understand, and on into this election cycle where this hero who never bled, tried to lift himself atop the prone body of the men he so maligned. And through it all, John O'Neil never so much as raised his voice in anger.

Welcome home, men! Accept with honor the gratitude of a grateful nation. We salute you all!

> He's a Democrat.

After the way he was treated by the liberal legacy media,

I prefer he be put in charge of the VA and given a mandate to clean up the bureaucracy and waste, and get our Vets the help they need AND DESERVE.

The Swiftees got the only reward they were asking for:

... that the treasonous son-of-a-bbbbb from Massachuesetts did not become the Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces.

They can rest now.

Ann Coulter

What a hoot that would be. The libs would be dropping like flies from the heart attacks at an annoucement of that appointment.
