I'm sure we'll have plenty of ghost stories after Nov 2nd, when we see Democrats going to the polls.

That is sKerry! The DemonRats are going to be out in full force with an unprecedented voter fraud effort. We need at least a 3 to 4 point edge to overcome the fraud that the Dems are planning to orchestrate.

THE GHOST HOTEL

I was traveling across the country, and in western Kansas, decided to stop early and find a motel room.

I see a sign that says "WORLDS LARGEST PRAIRIE DOG, NEXT EXIT", so I took the exit.

The first thing I did was gas my truck up and look around for a motel.

I spot it right beside the gas station, so I registered. $30/night. Asked for and got a discount of $3. The clerk gave me my TV remote control, key and towels. I found towels a little strange, but hell, for $27, what did I care. Went down the hall and put them in the room, cause I was going to see "THE WORLDS LARGEST PRAIRIE DOG"

As I was registering, I noticed that the clerks family was in the back room, 4 kids and a lady. They must have lived there, I remember thinking.

Got back from the "WORLDS LARGEST PRAIRIE DOG" to notice that the parking lot in the motel was pretty full. Walked down the hall and thought "there aren't any sounds coming out of any of these rooms". they must have been all out to dinner.

After taking a shower and watching the news I decided to have a soda pop. Walked down the hall to the ice machine and still no sounds from any of the rooms. Since the ice machine was in the lobby, I looked around there, and of all things, the clerk wasn't on duty, either. The door to his apartment was closed. No TV, no voices, not a sound. Finding this a little strange, I put my ice in the room, and walked down to the other end of the hall. Still no sounds. It was about 7 PM. Strange.

I walked outside and noticed that the motel was a 2 story building, so I decided that the other people were on the second floor. Walked around the building, and no stairs to the second floor. Back into the hall, I walked the hall again, and no stairs to the second floor. This was starting to get creepy. Instead of worrying about it, I went to my room and watched TV.

Middle of the night, my air conditioner came on. I got up and turned it off, figuring that the thermostat had kicked on. Half an hour later, the TV comes on. Reached over, snagged the remote, and turned it off. Another half hour, the TV comes on again, I decide to leave it on, and just turned down the volume. In the morning I wake up to the TV being off.

Take a shower, get dressed, and go to check out. There is a basket on the closed desk clerks desk and a sign that says "leave keys and remote here". I do. Noticed that the cars had all departed the parking lot, my truck was the only one left.

Get in my truck and go to the other side of town where there is a IHOP. I go in, ordered, and the waitress asked me if I had stayed in town last night. I told her the name of the Motel and she said I was mistaken. The motel had been boarded up and closed for the last 6 months. She was adamant. Thought I was crazy.

I go back across town and sure enough, the motel was closed. Had a big sign on it. I know that motel is where I stayed.

By the Way, the worlds largest prairie dog is a cement house, shaped like a prairie dog. It cost me $5.00 to find that out.

I was entering an elevator in an old building. As the door opened, I was looking on the floor and saw a pair of women's shoes from the flapper era, as well as shoes from the current era. As I looked up at the occupants of the elevator, there was no figure attached to the flapper era shoes! The other people in the elevator appeared not to have seen what I saw. When I mentioned my experience to some of my co-workers, one or two told me they had seen the same thing on occasion.

It was November 7, 2000, someone died... but didn't go away for 37 days.

When visiting a neighbor's house, clearly heard voices coming from the second floor. It was not radio or TV and there was no one upstairs. This happened more than once and always in the daylight. Even the animals noticed it.

I was the first grandchild and a girl. My paternal grandfather had raised three boys and treated me like a princess. We always had a special bond.

He died while I was in Jr. High school.

Years later, my two daughters, aged 14 & 16 at the time, along with three friends were playing with a Ouiji board in our family room. I was in the room watching TV.

They wanted me to play but since I thought it was all rigged I declined. They kept asking so I told them about my special Grandpa and asked them to ask him what kind of beer he drank. Remember, I was not touching the board or the little marker thing, (whatever it's called).

They spelled out H-A-M-M-S. I was more than a little freaked out. They don't even make Hamms beer any more. There's no way they could have known that. So I asked them to ask him what his nickname for me was. They spelled out B-A-B-Y-D...looked at me to see if it was right/close and I had tears running down my face. The five of them looked at each other and picked up the board and threw it away.

Grandpa's nickname for me was Babydoll.

I have a question for all you experienced ghost hunters out there. Some friends of mine and I are going to the Hotel Baker in St. Charles, IL, on election night for a party. I googled the address to get driving directions, and the second thing listed was "Haunted Hotels: Hotel Baker, St. Charles, IL."

Does anyone know anything about this place, other than the about.com story of a jilted chambermaid who roams the halls?

A few weeks after my Mom died I was laying in bed one night, particularly depressed just watching the Tonight show in the dark. I suddenly had the urge to pick up my writing journal and a pen. i opened it, uncapped my pen and no joke, about 35-45 minutes later I seemed to snap out of something. Suddenly I realized I had not been able to account for that time. In the journal, I had about 5 pages of what looked like scribbling, but on a closer look saw phrases "take care of Daddy I love him" and "my baby, my little (my name here)", and yes, a lot of nonsense doodles but short sentences that I could actually make out pertaining to me, my Dad and my late Mom.

It didn't happen again for a long time, until late in the evening on September 10th 2001 (more than 2 years after my first experience.) i am not making this up. More of that night's writing was unintelligible scribble but something just made me pick up a pen and pad, while in bed with the lights off, and start writing. To this day I think maybe someone was trying to tell me something. I've looked at that pad many times to see something but have found nothing exceptional.

This was my only experience with the supernatural and I have not had this urge to write since that time on 9/10. I looked it up on the Internet after the first time it happened and it's called "automatic writing." It comforted me tremendously and I haven't told many people about it, because I think a lot of people would think I'm nuts!
