How many hours early would we get notification of when the President or Vice Pres will be visiting certain states? I live in Mid Missouri and want to know next time he comes here. I went to a rally for him in 2000 and want to see the Pres Bush speak? I know they will come here because Missouri is a swing. Is there a site to go to in order to find out the travel plans?
Thanks
Bush to visit Missouri next week
Associated Press
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - President Bush will make a swing through some of Missouri's smaller towns next week, the Missouri Republican Party said Friday.
Bush is to appear in Poplar Bluff on Monday, after resident Hardy Billington worked for months to entice the president to visit his hometown. He and a friend began a petition drive urging Bush to visit the southeast Missouri town.
Billington also paid for billboards in Poplar Bluff urging the president to visit and sent copies of the petition, his billboard message and newspaper clips to the White House.
On Tuesday, Bush will visit Lee's Summit High School in suburban Kansas City, then the State Fairgrounds in Sedalia and, in the afternoon, the Boone County Fairgrounds in Columbia, party spokesman Paul Sloca said.
The events are open to the public, but tickets are required. They are available at various party offices and businesses.
"President Bush shares Missouri values and Missouri is very important to his re-election effort," Sloca said.
Both Bush and his Democratic challenger, John Kerry, have made several stops in Missouri this year as the state is considered up for grabs. Bush narrowly carried Missouri in the 2000 election.
