Very impressive.

Swann's been a long time supporter of Bush. It just seems like news because the media won't mention it.

In 1976 Lynn Swann came to Saudi Arabia (with Ray Mansfield) to visit our school. I was about10yrs old. He thru a football to me and I dropped it. Never forget that.

not to sound stupid but who is Lynn Swann? Hall of Fame wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers and TV commentator. Endorsement could help Bush in Pennsylvania.
To: escapefromboston
Former Pittsburg Steelers great.
To: escapefromboston
I'm assuming it's the hall of fame wide receiver from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
IOW, just some football player who was semi famous.

An NFL Hall of Famer. His mother wanted a daughter but had a son. She named him Lynn anyway. She made him take ballet. He took that expertise to the NFL before anyone did aerobic, yoga etc and brought a lot of challenging maneuvers to the game -- nobody could jump over a linebacker better than he could.

He was a USC Trojan who in 1972 was on the greatest college football team of all time, BEFORE he was a Steeler!

I can tell you are not a football fan. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers doing their SuperBowl heydey, and is known for the "immaculate reception. A great, agile, graceful receiver, and is in the Football Hall of Fame.

Last night, I was sure enough that I'd seen him during a camera pan of the crowd that I told my wife that I was certain Lynn Swann was at the convention.
Just now saw him with Shep - very impressive. Let's hope he can find his way over to Jennings, Blokaw, Blather and Blitzer....and Mathews.

Lynn Swann caught quite a few beauties in his career, but not the immaculate one.

I hate to be Mr. Corrector, but that was Franco Harris in an AFC title game vs. the Raiders.
Lynn Swann did have some amazing catches in Super Bowls, especially against the Cowboys.

I didn't know Nolan was Ryan's middle name. My youngest son's middle name is Noland. His first name is not Lynn.
I've heard of men called Len or Lenny (and Squiggy?) and thought it was short for Leonard.
To: DadOfFive
Gotta love Lynn Swann........what memories he's given us. (Of course I hated him and Terry Bradshaw in the days when they cleaned the Oilers clocks in the "big game")*~*. I've seen Swann catch footballs that SHOULD be humanly impossible to catch, but he did it and did it beautifully!

However, I'm sure Terry Bradshaw does not like Bush. Bradshaw has ADD. Ironically, or maybe not, it was likely a contributing factor to his greatness as a QB.
