AMERICA - The Right Way!! (WEEKEND EDITION: Days 1316 and 1317) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | August 28, 2004 | All of Us

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not faiL!

Good Morning!!

CAT III HURRICANE FRANCES ADVISORY 14

Discussion:

FRANCES showed no signs of having strengthened last night, nor did the storm make the anticipated turn to the west. Both are still expected within the next 48 hours as southwesterly flow over the top of the hurricane begins to decrease and a HP center builds south of Nova Scotia. Also, forward speed in the 72-120 hour range from VT Forecast will increase vertical shear issues in the eyewall, limiting strengthening to probably the CAT IV level. FRANCES may have been undergoing an eyewall recycle in the last few hours as the center was less distinct in IR photots. NHC guidance has moved the track southward and westward from previous guidance (that is, to the left of previous track). The Bahamas and the Florida Atlantic coast are now the main areas of concern. Current track provides a strike point in Florida near C. Canaveral.

TROPICAL DEPRESSION SEVEN ADVISORY 3

Current Charleston (KCLX) NEXRAD Image:

Discussion: SEVEN continues to show signs of strengthening and has convection nearly wrapping a center of circulation. Tropical storm strength will likely occur by the 11 AM forecast package, though NHC is relying primarily on satellite photos and the Dvorak technique to determine the strength of this system; no recon flights are scheduled into this storm today.

In the news:

What's a candidate for President from Massachuesetts to do when the Chicago Sun-Times--not exactly a member of even the Moderate Conspiracy, let alone the VRWC--indicates that Kerry's medal record on his website is flawed. The Sun-Times points out that Kerry's claim that he received a Silver Star with Combat V is incorrect as the Navy has never issued such an award to anyone.

Indeed the story goes on with a subheader: "Fake claims not uncommon"!

The Sun-Times goes on to say that while Kerry says his military records have been released, the paper has learned from the Naval Personnel Office that there were only about 6 pages of an over 100-page file that have been made public.

All this from the Sun-Times.

OUCH!!!!

You can hear Kerry getting new battle wounds and screaming for another Purple Heart already.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

That Kerry timeline is Excellent, though I've seen some other partials. It is my hope that we can all help out on making that even better... perhaps even hyperlinking/ footnoting stories for it - whether expansions or details or articles or other commentary (I haven't hit christie about that).

In any event, I notice that several folks here haven't returned to the thread since I posted it ... It is a LONG study, and merits that.

"DEFEATING KERRY IS THE PARADE THE VIETNAM VETS NEVER GOT"

Anything along that line gets the point across.

More aggressively and more encouraging perhaps:

GIVE THE VIETNAM VETS THE PARADE THEY NEVER GOT!!
DEFEAT KERRY!!

I like it....

My brother and husband, last night, were talking about the days they worked many hours on a state job in Ithaca...years ago. Oh my, they were laughing about their experiences with certain people in some of the bars...Let's just say...they were not complimented when they were looked upon as pick up material...LOL

Yeah: isn't that great. It falls right in line with CTs commenting about how the liberal media start criticising the Demodog when it becomes obvious they are in trouble and can not win.

After that, the rest of the rats jump ship, and history is made.

I am quite surprised that this is occurring so early, but maybe they know something already that we don't yet know...

GIVE THE VIETNAM VETS THE PARADE THEY NEVER GOT!!
DEFEAT KERRY!!

That's clearly even better.

Any refinements would be welcomed, everyone. I really think this could have a huge effect, and it is COMPLETELY IMMUNE from whether the SwiftVets are looked at as lying or not. It is all based on sKerry's own testimony and antiWar record.

Later today, we should try to publish it to the rest of FR, and then we have to get it out to the rest of the world...

I am lucky, my D keeps up with my medication I take and makes sure I get it every day, twice a day. Dr. told me yesterday that everything was A OK but wants to check on my pacemakers wire to see if they are frayed so Monday I get a X Ray and they check Tuesday by the pace maker company.

... please don't credit me with the words of this banner. I was simply quoting another FReeper. Nevertheless, it could be a great cry if it would sweep the nation.

Guennie... one of the problems with this whole Vietnam thing that has been brought to the forefront again by sKerry's words and actions is... the memories are not pleasant and I have to be in just the right place and circumstance to be able to speak about it. I have peace about it now but still reluctant to just talk unless there is relevancy.

I appreciate your query... and I know your heart. Perhaps sometime we'll talk about it.

I posted something... not much... on a thread the last couple of days but not sure how to locate it now. I don't even recall what the thread was about. Doesn't say much for my memory but then....

I'll be thinking of you when I go to the doctor Monday.

One of the things I regularly pray for is wisdom for the doctors, nurses, care-givers, etc.

Well, I mainly meant your reception upon your return, but I understand it might have been less than enthusiastic, considering the antiwar crowd and what they did.

Also, you have FReepmail.

PS...Don't you perhaps think this IS a good thing for the Viet Vets....people finally recognizing what they did....(I mean the good ones, not Kerry)...and finally appreciating them.

Check your Freepmail, please :)

Here's a quote from a Mark Steyn article located here:
http://www.suntimes.com/output/steyn/cst-edt-steyn29.html

"So when John McCain sternly warns the swift boat veterans of ''reopening the wounds of Vietnam,'' it's worth asking: Why is Vietnam a ''wound'' and why won't it heal? The answer: not because it was a military or strategic defeat but because it was a national trauma. And whose fault is that?

Well, you can't pin it all on one person, but, if you had to, Lt. John F. Kerry would stand a better shot at taking the solo trophy than almost anyone. The ''wounds'' McCain complains of aren't from losing Vietnam, but from the manner in which it was lost. Today Sen. Kerry says he's proud of his anti-war activism, but that's not what it was. Every war has pacifists and conscientious objectors and even disenchanted veterans, but there's simply no precedent for what John Kerry did: a man who put his combat credentials to the service of smearing his country's entire armed forces as rapists, decapitators and baby killers. That's the ''wound,'' Sen. McCain. That's why a crummy little war on the other side of the world still festers. That's why the band didn't play ''Fings Ain't Wot They Used T'Be'' and move on to the next item of business. Because Kerry didn't just call for U.S. withdrawal, he impugned the honor of every man he served with."

My coment: sKerry doesn't have the smarts to know how badly he wounded a nation, especially those veterans who fought with and around him. He used it all for his own glory then, and I believe he will pay for it now.

I just received this photo from a new FReeper in West Virgina. He asked me to post it.

He is fighting with all his power to keep the Mountaineer State in Bush's column!

Here's a link to an article posted Sep 14, 2001. Each of us ought to re-read it now, if for nothing other than encouragement.

I want to tell my mom's story. I have heard LOTS of stories but this one is first hand so I am comfortable in it. I am not saying you should do it, but should look at options.

I have shared here before that when I came here to help mom, she was a mess. The docs gave her 6 months. He told My brother & I. It fell upon me (of course ) to talk this over with her.

(interjection.. that was August 1992)... a little over 6 months, no?

I have always felt when things are going badly, you can fold your hands & take it, or do something "different"

she was on 9 different medications. Including blood pressure . I went to the pharmicist & got printed read outs on all. I sat down & talked with pharmicist (my doc relatives & friends do same.. they are trained as docs, not pharmaceutical experts) re: contraindications etc. NOw you can do that online & cross reference with pharmicist you are comfortable with - then no .. just book work

We have been a chiroproactic family (dad was chiropractor) which way back then was doing things the NATURAL way. When I was a in school & a dancer & had severe foot pain, i had to sneak aspirin, like a kid would sneak drugs now.

We went over all of the natural combatants for the ailments. We went over HEALTHY eating. We decided to go with it. At that time I also went off BP meds...

Mom, said if she only had 6 months on current course, she was willing to drop meds & go natural.

Within 3 days there was a huge difference. She now still does not take any meds except for pain (excedrin generic) and for allergies.. generic whatever. We monitor BP regualrly & it is in safe range.

She had been lathargic & put on a lot of weight.. now she had more energy & we got out & did things & lots of yard work. She shed 75 pounds. With more exercise there was more oxygen/deep breathing.

Her skin became more firm - esp on face (often when one looses large amounts of weight there are excessive wrinkles & sagging) & eyes sparkled like I hadn't seen in years. Her mind which never was a fog, cleared up & focused much more. She had energy & slept better. Joint pain reduced.

People who hadn't seen her for awhile were shocked - in a good way - with the change. She looked more like my sister than my mom.

I had been a vegetarian for years & asked if she wanted to go on a almost vegetarian diet and she did. I have always felt that your body has so many BTUs /energy to use in a given day. You can use it up digesting the large proteins (like in meat) or can use it for the immune system to do it's thing.

We do LOTS of fresh vegetables & fruits. Stay away from white / refined products for the most part. Try to avoid nitrates & processed food. The order is fresh/frozen/rarely canned or packaged. It is more work & money but seems to work. Lots of soy products.. they contain good "stuff" ... Yes, tofu is boring. She has a few times a week chicken, fish & an occasional red meat "treat".. now & then bring her a whopper, fries & milk shake. Big smiles those days. :)

unfortunately the orthopaiedics have made her basically an invalid the past 4 years - she has put on more weight as she is in room all the time. but she does the exercises of limbs in bed & for the most part she eats well & we do the natural supplements still.

She is 86 & so each year after `1992 was a gift from God - we both know it.

I am thinking that FRepers Fawnn & GretchenMM are both very knowledgeable on natural products & healing...much more so than I.

now mechanical things .. joints, heart valves etc.. another story. Much of life can be heredity.. but then again we tend to "get " the lifestyle & eating patterns from parents as well as genes.

Please keep us posted.

A silver star is issued for valor in battle, therefore does not need the V. I don't think any Silver Star has a V for that reason.......So has the botox boy glued a V on his silver star? If he has......ROTFLOL.
