The Guild 7-26-2004 Dims Get Dimmer at Convention

Posted on 07/25/2004 10:33:08 PM PDT by BigWaveBetty

Woooo! Rock the vote!

Teresa isn't even looking at him.

Howard Dean (news - web sites) speaks at the Democratic Gain & Rock the Vote jump off party at the Avalon nightclub in Boston July 25, 2004.

Howard's been working on his spare tire.

"C'mon Teresa, let's show this crowd how I can throw just like a girl!"

Please, all reporters be careful, she's mean.

"She told a reporter to shove it?!"

Actors Ben Affleck (L) and Amber Tamblyn (C), from the television series 'Joan of Arcadia', listen to actor Danny Glover speak at the 'Power of One' forum to discuss political issues affecting young people in Cambridge, Massachusetts July 25, 2004. The Democratic National Convention to officially choose U.S. Senator John Kerry (news - web sites) as the Democratic presidential nominee will be held July 26-29 at the FleetCenter in Boston. Hector Acevedo (L) asks what demorcrats plan to do about his dating life to (just kidding, snuck that in) a panel of celebrities including actor Ben Affleck (R) at the 'Power of One' forum to discuss political issues affecting young people in Cambridge, Massachusetts July 25, 2004.

Kerry Diverts His Plane to See Red Sox-Yanks Game

"This plane is diverted," Kerry told reporters aboard his chartered Boeing 757 shortly after it left Columbus, Ohio, ostensibly for Titusville, Florida.

What a dork!

Well, I'm sure Ben Affleck needed to find something to occupy his time given the fact his latest films have been bombs and his former girlfriend married someone else. Give him a "It sucks to be me," t-shirt.

As for Eff's foray into the wide world of sports, it was just another night at Dorkfest 2004.

Should of consulted with you before I put up the thread, "Dorkfest" should be in the title.

AM, could you please change the title on this thread to:

Thank you!

For shame, Kerry's posing in church. Oh look, he's placed himself right next to the work "weak." Hmmm.....

We finally have contact!

Glad you're still up, turn on MSNBC, Teresa's on with Matthews and she's all dolled up.

Figured out why she never kisses Kerry, she's got so much Botox in her upper lip she can't pucker.

I'm noticing something strange about her, she rarely makes eye contact with Chris Matthews.

ARRRGGGGGHHH! The way Chris is talking he's already dubbed her 'First Lady.'

Teresa Heinz Kerry speaks for the world! She understands why the terrorists hate us! She understands we need to learn from old Europe. She understands we just all need to be friends. She is FUBAR!

We created scholarships for terrorists by our actions? What is she smoking?

Good morning. I'm feeling un-Pennsylvanian today. No! I didn't say that! You're saying I said that when I didn't say that!

The thread on Teresa's latest meltdown is here. I may have come up with another poster idea for the Effin/Pretty Boy visit to Wheeling this weekend:

DO WE REALLY WANT TERESA HEINZ AS FIRST LADY?

Meanwhile, the Dems continue to go overboard in Boston (like crates of tea, we hope):

One Sunday event was Teddy Kennedy inviting a kilo of the faithful to a 12-2 p.m. lunch at his Hyannis house. By bus. Two-hour trip. Sighed a New York delegate: "Who the hell wants to waste six hours doing that?" Another Sunday event, the Bill and Hill happening, began as an "invitation-only, private" affair and became so gigantic — with just under 1,000 RSVPs — that, supposedly, fire marshals stopped the guest list. Memo to HRC: We've been wanting you to take a hike for years.

"This is not about Hillary Clinton's political future. She's not focused on that at all . . . hard as that is for people to accept," insists Clinton loyalist and former New York State Democratic chairwoman Judith Hope. ...

Sen. Clinton seemed exasperated with both the press speculation and the Republicans when she told Newsweek, "I'm never going to get out of scrutiny." She added, "I'd like some time off to sit on a beach or take a hike, but I don't think the Republicans ever rest!" NY Daily News

How can we "rest"? She wants us to let down our guard, so she and her troops can march on, undeterred.

Ugh, what a smarmy little #*%%! this guy has become:

The dinner was off the record, and (Ron, Jr.) Reagan didn't want me to quote his tart remarks about the current President. Suffice it to say that his views haven't changed since he told me four years ago at the Republican convention: "The big elephant sitting in the corner is that George W. Bush is simply unqualified for the job. ... What is his accomplishment? That he's no longer an obnoxious drunk?" rest of story, in which RRJr. demonstrates his ignorance about the stem cell issue.

I didn't say that! You're saying I said that when I didn't say that!

Thank you so much for my first laugh of the day.

On that same Chris Matthews show he's talking to the crowd there in Boston and is throwing out questions to the crowd. When the question; do you think there should be bashing of President Bush at the convention was asked there was one guy in the front who was poised to clap and woo hoo. The rest of the crowd looked around at each other like, what do we do and Mr. almost woo hoo caught himself just in time to join in with the confused silence.

Dems on the whole are really "out of touch" with the country if they think that not bashing Bush at the Dorkfest is going to make some sort of difference in the message they've been sending for 18 months.

Bawahahaha, just saw 'The Pitch', what a girl! Kerry is pathetic with his "divert this plane" to a baseball game! Not quite as daring as flying into Baghdad.

Effin threw from in front of the mound and still couldn't get the ball to the plate. All his athletic posturing (including the XXL jockstrap) is for naught, as he's proven himself to be a phoney.

Bush is simply unqualified for the job. ... What is his accomplishment?

Boy, somebody is throw stones in their glass house.

Here comes that out of touch thingy again... Dems think that having Ron criticize republicans is a big deal, it says something about our party because Ron has now had to stray. They should know that we never considered him one of us but that's what happens when you're not as smart as you think you are.

I don't know, could be. Really the only reason I used that picture was so I could tweak the caption. :-)
