Iranians rally in 42 world cities for a Free Iran

Iranians and their supporters in 42 world cities demonstrated in support of pro-Democracy, Secular, and pro-American demonstrations in Iran, but where is the Media? Not a single major news media agency reported these protests, except for a couple of conservative outlets. We all know that if these were anti-US rallies the media would be all over them. When are we going to hold the media accountable and demand they stop being so anti-freedom, anti-democracy and anti-american. I post, you decide.

But where is the Media? My Cousin in Iran reported that during the mass demonstrations that broke out after the world cup several years ago he personally witnessed 10-20 journalists videotaping, and writing about what was going in, including the one from CNN. That day, Satellite TV beamed by Iranian-Americans to Iran had thouands of callers call CNN - so many called that lines were tied up for 3 hours, and one of the heads of CNN called satellite TV to ask people to stop calling. When the Iranian-American reporter put him on air the CNN representative siad he knew "nothing about the rallies", interesting considering my cousin personally told me that he saw the CNN reporter videotaping at the rally and these tapes have surfaced on many other stations since. CNN and other stations want to "keep their offices" in Iran.. what a shame..

You are right.

The US media is not reporting on the Iranian opposition at all.

CNN has a history of that. They did it in Iraq.

Save and forward to every single person you know. If the Facist Liberal Media isn't going to support a free world, then we Conservatives will.

Well, I think that you answered your original question in the last sentence of that paragraph.

Don't forget that CNN (and this is a fact that has been documented by no less an authority than Eason Jordan himself, in the op-ed section of the NYT) has continually bowed at the alter of power.

Even though the fraudulent news reports emanating from their bureaus in Iraq and Cuba-and remember too that they are the only mainstream TV network pliant enough to submit to Castro's wishes and allow his gov't to vet their stories-offer the most startling examples of their compliance with dictatorial regimes, they are not anomalous, by any stretch of the imagination.

As much as I loathe the fact that FOX NEWS refuses to voice ample criticism of Hu Jintao and the rest of that corrupt, dictatorial gerontocracy, their fealty to the bottom line does not even begin to compare to the voluntary blindness practiced by the executives at the Central News Network.

Don't expect to see them addressing the scope of the dissatisfaction with the Iranian mullah-crocy, voiced by the captive citizens of that nation, any time in the near or distant future.
