I think God sometimes uses virtually any and every channel possible to get through to us thickheaded critters.Though I haven't read the book you described, there is no question about the above observation.

However, it is exceeding folly for an individual to assume or expect, much less demand, that God will
use any means to reach a given individual at a given time on a given issue.
God cannot be manipulated nor demanded of!
